Out Of The Comb
As part of our research team’s support activities at the AUA Laboratory of Sericulture and Apiculture, we carry out laboratory analyses of bee and honey samples. Specifically, we perform diagnostic tests for nosemosis (Nosema spp.) to support colony disease prevention and treatment, as well as measurements of HMF (hydroxymethylfurfural) to assess honey quality and freshness.
We also place particular emphasis on direct, meaningful communication with beekeepers, providing scientific advice, answers to everyday questions and practical solutions to the problems they face in apiary management.
